As we approach 25 years of Starwood, we celebrate our rich history and shared purpose.
Since its founding, Starwood Academy has been committed to providing a transformative education for students and sparking a passion for lifelong learning. Throughout our history we have met challenges and triumphs that make us who we are today.2000 – Founding of Starwood Montessori School
In September of 2000, Starwood Montessori School opened its doors with six classrooms, serving 125 toddler through lower elementary students in the local Frisco community.
2002 – First Upper Elementary Classroom Opened
As the lower elementary students approached the end of their program, the families did not want to leave. So Starwood opened its first upper elementary classroom, allowing students to continue their Montessori education through the elementary years.2015 – Middle School Program Launched
In the fall of 2015, Starwood Academy of Frisco welcomed its first class of Middle School students, making it one of the only schools in the DFW metroplex to offer Montessori education through the middle school years.
2018 – Starwood Academy of Frisco Campus Opens
With continued growth, it became clear that the Starwood Montessori School campus could no longer accommodate the expanding student body. In 2018, Starwood Academy of Frisco, a new, state-of-the-art, 28,000-square-foot facility just a few minutes down the road from the original campus.2022 – A Unified Campus
All students officially transitioned to the Starwood Academy of Frisco campus, consolidating the entire school community into one location. This move streamlined operations, strengthened cross-level collaboration, and provided a more cohesive and enriched educational experience.
25 Years of Starwood Academy
As Starwood Academy of Frisco marks 25 years, we celebrate a legacy of igniting curiosity, fostering connection, and inspiring purposeful learning. But the journey doesn’t stop here.
