The Elementary Program at Starwood Academy of Frisco supports children’s natural inquisitiveness by offering them an individualized, self-paced learning experience. At Starwood Academy of Frisco, students aged six through 12 work through sequential lessons in each curricular area. For example, Montessori school students develop fundamental mathematics skills by manipulating learning materials that provide a concrete representation of the base 10 math system. Students also work through algebra and geometry lessons, receiving lessons from the teachers when they are ready to move on to the next step.
Our approach to private education includes a comprehensive language arts program, which enables students to explore the history of language before moving on to lessons in grammar, word study, spelling, and composition. Other curricular areas in our Elementary Program include reading, cultural lessons, and computer instruction.
The Starwood Academy of Frisco's difference lies in our approach and dedication to the Montessori pedagogy, our deep community values, and the rich Montessori legacy brought forth by our school founder.
